چکیده
Background: Mirror therapy is one of the cognitive-induced interventions based on mirror neurons neurologic grounds. Aim: to evaluate effect upper extremity functional and motor skills among chronic stroke patients. Design: a quasi-experimental design (pre/post-test). Setting: The study was conducted at Egypt Health care Authority, Port Said hospitals ICU departments. Subjects: All patients (50) with who were admitted previously mentioned settings time data collection, which chosen using convenient sampling technique. Tools: Three tools used for collection: Tool 1: Structured interview questionnaire; 2: Fugl-Meyer assessment, lower limb function (FMA); 3: Brunnstrom stages, 4: Functional Independence Measure (FIM). 5: Modified Ashworth Scale. Results: results illustrated that group showed significant differences in muscle strength, range motion wrist extension, tone flexors post-test compared pre-test as demonstrated by Dualer IQ Inclinometer (p<0.05).

Impact of Extension Splint on Upper Extremity Motor Components and Function in Chronic Stroke Patients
Objectives: Spasticity and contracture in flexor muscles of the wrist may occur after stroke, especially in which early recovery did not appear. Splints are prescribed to reduce spasticity and to prevent contracture after stroke. Although there is a few research in this field. The aim of this study was to examine the impact of the Extension splint on function, spasticity, and range of motion of...
